Pailionoideaesence is an installation of white pages that ask the viewer to reflect on the future of our natural world. The white page, a book yet to be written folded into thousands of origamis to mimic the time capsule like space but also evoke the way both humanity and nature use geometry within our environment. During the day the installation shows an all white pure forest, At night, nature’s perspective is revieled- the butterfly perspective. Butterflies see the world through ultraviolet light, that gives access to geometric patterns on leaves, petals and the wings of other butterflies. The glowing tree knots give us access to both the butterfly’s story and nature’s secret language.
