Pailionoideaesence is a poetic installation of white pages, inviting viewers to reflect on the future of our natural world. The blank page—a book yet to be written—is folded into thousands of origami forms, evoking both the timeless geometry found in nature and humanity’s imprint on the environment.
By day, the installation resembles a pure, white forest, serene and unmarked. By night, it transforms to reveal nature’s hidden perspective: the butterfly’s view. Butterflies perceive the world through ultraviolet light, uncovering geometric patterns on leaves, petals, and even the wings of their peers. Glowing tree knots within the installation illuminate these intricate, unseen stories, granting us a glimpse into nature’s secret language and the profound interplay between light, form, and life.
