PLANÁŌ GERMINATIO is a monumental installation that unfolds an imaginary universe, sculpted entirely from recycled books sourced from the heart of Meyrin in the cultural institution, Forum de Meyrin. The title is a play on the Greek word for “to wonder,” which evolved into the word “planet,” and the Latin origin of “germinatio,” meaning “to sprout.” At its center floats a singular, transformative structure—a cosmic planet and a microscopic tree seed in one. Adorned with alien organisms and plants, this floating form symbolizes both growth and renewal, blending futuristic imagination with nature’s enduring beauty.
